About Us
What is the South Carolina Hunters and Landowners for the Hungry all about?
In short, helping those who need it the most - the truly hungry - here in South Carolina.
It is a sad reality that there are many people who go without food because they are unable, for whatever reason, to provide themselves the nourishment their bodies require. This hardship compounds itself because it affects the morale and health of those afflicted and then the proverbial downward spin starts (or worsens). Worse yet is that all too often there are kids involved.
We are aware that “saving the world” is a lofty goal yet a very distinct impossibility for each of us. What we hope to do is help break this downward spin by doing our small part where we can here in South Carolina. We will achieve this by administering our program which provides processed (ground), frozen deer meat to food banks throughout our state. Incidentally, we do not provide meat to shelters that do on-premise food preparation due to regulations in place regarding the human consumption of wild game. As of the publication of this fund-raising brochure, we are primarily focused on the upstate of South Carolina, expanding to the east and south, deliberately.

Benefits of Donating To Hunters and Landowners for the Hungry
South Carolina Hunters and Landowners for the Hungry (HLFH) provides deer hunters in
South Carolina a great opportunity to help themselves, their sport, and people in need in
our state. Your participation, either financially or through the donation of venison, can
accomplish many worthwhile goals:
1. The hungry, who otherwise would do without, will be provided a quality meat.
2. Positive publicity is generated for hunters and the tradition of hunting.
3. The annual deer harvest in South Carolina can be used effectively and more efficiently by
eliminating waste.
4. The deer population is controlled which not only benefits mankind but the deer themselves.
